Hundreds of parishioners, school parents and students volunteer each year to work at the Italian Festival. Every volunteer’s work shift is essential to the success of the festival and we thank everyone who gives of their time willingly and cheerfully. Coordinating the activities of all the committees is a key element, too. Led by the Board Of Directors, the dedicated committee chair-persons work throughout the year, reviewing the previous year’s events and planning for the next.

Parents Of Junior High Students

A letter to parents detailing what your junior high student can sign-up for to receive credit for service hours.

Service Hour Policy

Each family is required to donate 16 hours to the Festival. Of those 16 hours, a minimum of 14 hours shall be given during the Italian Festival set up, weekend, or breakdown on the festival grounds. You may have ADULT family members or friends donate their hours to your family as along as your youngest child’s name is noted on their sign-up form. Refer to Parent Student Handbook for requirements.

Because the evening shifts are the busiest times, We are requesting that you sign-up to work at least one evening shift: Friday at 7:30 PM, Saturday at 7:30 PM, and/or Sunday at 4:00 PM.

NOTE: You must be Virtus trained and finger printed to volunteer for the Italian Festival. Please contact Johanna Franco in the St. Coleman Rectory (954-942-3533) for a schedule of training classes and fingerprinting or if you have any questions.
